Insured Deposits As a federal credit union, Amherst FCU is subject to review
and monitoring by NCUA, the national Credit Union Administration,
a federal agency. Members' deposits are insured up to at least $250,000 under
NCUSIF, the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, a federal
insurance that has never required taxpayer funding.
